Reflect on your daily lifestyle. Is it all business as usual, humdrum routine, or does it have some zip in it? Spending time in the \u2018court\u2019 of God early in the morning will add that zip. No matter what comes your way. It\u2019s truly incredible how much better our life is, therefore our days are, when we consciously seek God through his word, prayer, and fellowship. This doesn\u2019t mean that you go to church every day. Most people don\u2019t live their lives inside a church building. There\u2019s great opportunity in a church teaching grace and truth, but most of us spend our days in different arenas. Do we take God with us, or do we leave him out of the equation?<\/p>\n
I think this is what the psalmist is saying, at least to me. He goes on to say in verse 10\u2014\u201cI would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness\u201d.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Amen! Living our lives with an attitude of God\u2019s presence in every facet of our life gives us this kind of strength and comfort. It keeps us away from many forms of sinfulness and wickedness. We\u2019re spending time in the \u2018court\u2019 of our Lord during the day. Not physically, but mentally and spiritually. Would you agree?<\/p>\n And the psalmist ends with the incredible benefits of spending our days this way.<\/p>\n \u201cFor the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
