Jonathan Habashy is on a family mission trip in Rwanda, Africa. It just so happens that it is the base of operations for\u00a0Abiding\u00a0<\/em>Fathers for all of Africa. Our two directors, Bosco and Derrick, had the pleasure of meeting with Jonathan and his wife last week. Jonathan is serving as our Donor Care Consultant. He has gotten to experience firsthand a small part of the mission in Rwanda. He reported that during their conversation, Bosco made an incredible statement the other day:\u00a0\u201cFatherlessness is a national fact in Rwanda.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Wow.<\/p>\n Jonathan then added his own insightful and helpful perspective:<\/p>\n \u201cBecause of tragic geopolitical and cultural shifts happening around the world (mass genocide, cultural erosion of traditional home roles, the demonic delusion of gender politics in the free world, etc.), the family is under attack like never before. Literally.\u00a0Fatherhood is an afterthought, and the urgent necessity of fathers is being utterly discarded. This reality is putting an entire generation at risk, and that\u2019s just the beginning. What follows could bring an incalculable darkness to cultures across our globe. To redeem fathers is to redeem families. To transform a man in his role of fatherhood (to align with the biblical perspective) is to renew and transform families for generations to come. This is the very hope of the gospel of Jesus, as biblical fatherhood puts Christ at the absolute center of every family. THIS is the sole reason for the existence of Abiding Fathers.
