Spring is the time of storms and cloudy weather bringing rains for the crops and life in general to the earth. It also produces incredible rainbows. During a recent storm, I noticed the rainbow that I have shown here. There were numerous people taking photos. One lady said to me, \u2018this may be God\u2019s way of saying to us that the end of the COVID period is upon us.\u2019 It was just that special.<\/p>\n
In the case of Noah and his family, it was even more special as they had just been saved from the flood where everyone died, including all living creatures that were not on the ark. God was reassuring Noah, and us, this would never happen again. But what I find so fascinating is the rainbow is also a reminder to God. \u201cWhenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth\u201d<\/strong> <\/em>(vs. 16). Just think about that; it\u2019s for us, but also for God!<\/p>\n God\u2019s wrath and judgment against sinful mankind was evidenced by the flood. Salvation came to Noah and the others by the ark. But as secure as God\u2019s promise evidenced by rainbows, there is now only one way that God\u2019s justified wrath is avoided for eternity. Whenever God looks at us, sinners deserving death, he sees us covered by the blood of Jesus, and he is reminded of the new covenant in his Son\u2019s blood. \u201cThis cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you\u201d<\/strong><\/em> (Lk. 22.20 b). Allelujah!
