NEW\u2026is almost always good. A car, house, job, marriage, child, year, idea—you name it. In scripture as we read and meditate, there are always new insights. And his mercies are new every morning according to Lamentations 3.23. Actually, every day is a new gift and experience. America has a new President-elect, bringing new vision and based on the stock market, new business optimism. While others may be experiencing new concerns.<\/p>\n
I won\u2019t beat around the bush. Having recently turned 79, I am operating on house money as my Jewish friend, Howard says. Twenty-seven years ago God laid a burden on my heart, one that is now my passion for my family and my nation. Many are tired of hearing me say it, but I believe the number one issue in America is the absentee father<\/strong><\/em>. Having spent the past 45+ years teaching in prisons, juvenile detention centers and men\u2019s homeless shelters, I have experienced the devastation to these men\u2019s lives, and their families.<\/p>\n We have so many enemies of our families (even our welfare system), and they have led the fathers to abandon their responsibilities that are given by God. The magnitude is so deep and widespread, it cannot be solved with a bandaid approach. It requires an\u2026 \u2018all-out; all-in movement\u2019!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n A movement of men and women who are burdened for their current and future generations must take place, NOW! It can\u2019t wait. It will require a dedicated effort by many of us. It\u2019ll be similar to \u2018storming the gates of hell\u2019, because this is in every sense a spiritual battle for the hearts and minds of our children and their families. Satan began the battle with Adam and Eve. He is committed\u2014and so must we be!<\/p>\n Abiding<\/em> Fathers has been formed to bring about this movement. We need you in every way possible; prayers, financial, volunteers; you name it. World War II was a movement of enormous proportions. A nation came together for a common purpose; defeat the enemies of democracy. This battle for our families is just as, if not more, potentially destructive as that war. Absentee fathers are the issue! An overwhelming majority do not have a clue what their role is. So, how can they fulfill it? That\u2019s where we (you and I) come in.<\/p>\n It requires men and women of every nature to step up, using their God-given gifts. You don\u2019t have to be the biological father to further this movement. Huge numbers, multi-millions of children are being brought into this world with only a mother to raise them. (May I add here that abortion is never the answer.) These father wounds cannot be solved by a mother alone. The father has been given the authority and responsibility in their family. The absence of him goes with the children, actually abides in their lives, like a negative DNA.<\/p>\n And we need people who are trained to mobilize this movement, maybe a retired military or corporate executive. And possibly you who are reading this know of someone that would greatly benefit from being used in this manner. Or you know people of extensive wealth that agree with us, and want to fund the movement. I\u2019m serious, folks!! My children, grandchildren, even great grandchildren are counting on this generation to mobilize this critical movement. Are your families that important to you? They are to me!<\/p>\n And are you ready to say yes to being— Can you imagine the joy when you and I meet our Lord and hear him say \u2013\u201cWell done\u201d? What more could any soul desire to experience? He gave these children to us to disciple. Will we be found obedient to the call? And please don\u2019t look to your left or to your right; YOU are the one who needs to say YES!<\/p>\n What\u2019s that you say? \u201cBill, this a monumental task, one that will require incredible resources against what appears to be insurmountable odds.\u201d<\/em> My answer to you is this. 2,000 years ago twelve uneducated men in the Middle East, armed with the leadership of Jesus from heaven and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, took on the world for the sake of what they believed to be the most important life mission they needed to undertake. We have the exact same Jesus and Spirit. And our mission is theirs as recorded in Malachi 4:6a NKJV. \u201cAnd he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> He has not failed in his original movement, and he won\u2019t fail in this one either.<\/p>\nAll-out; all-in<\/h3>\n
