Deliveries<\/h3>\n

LoveDelivers\u2026<\/em>is a new online business of my granddaughter, Annie, and her friend, McKinley. It can be viewed on Etsy.com<\/a>. They hand design your favorite scripture in many varied forms of lettering and are using the sale proceeds to finance their summer mission trip. Check it out. Great gifts! As I was focusing on her work, it hit me that these two young ladies will actually be delivering love<\/em> to many orphans.<\/p>\n

Deliveries are made daily. When I was young the milkman delivered milk to your doorstep; pastors deliver sermons; baseball pitchers deliver the heat. Postmen deliver good and bad news, while judges and juries are called on to deliver verdicts. Our brave men and women have over the years delivered us from tyranny from enemies, here and abroad; many with the sacrifice of their lives. The list is endless.<\/p>\n

Love Delivers!<\/h3>\n

To me, there are three significant deliveries in all of history. We know that \u201cGod is LOVE.\u201d He, through Mary, delivered a baby boy some two thousand years ago at the precise time it had been prophesied, and in the very same city. \u201cBut you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from old, from ancient times\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Micah 5:2). And as Matthew and Luke record this delivery in their gospels, there was a heavenly and earthly celebration of a great magnitude. Angels, shepherds, Magi, and of course, Mary and Joseph! This baby was delivered to the world, and they called him Immanuel (God with us).<\/p>\n

Thirty-three years later, as prophesied, God delivered his Son to the cross for men to execute his judgment for our sin. Jesus said to His disciples. \u201cThe Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Mk: 9.31). This is the Author of love delivering His Son for us. LoveDelivers!<\/em> And He did not stop at the cross; Love delivered Him from the grave to new life. That is the complete gospel!<\/p>\n

All in<\/h3>\n

Lastly, by the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus, he delivered us from sin and death; those who, by faith, believe that gospel. Paul exclaims in Romans; \u201cWho will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(7: 24,25). The baby Jesus came and grew into a young man to deliver the message from his Father\u2014I LOVE YOU!<\/em> He spelled it out in bold letters by delivering Jesus for us on Golgotha.<\/p>\n

So we can proclaim with the heavenly host; \u201cHark! The herald angels sing, \u201cGlory to the newborn King!\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Truly, love delivers! <\/em>Mercifully, it keeps on delivering! He has called us to continue delivering this good news to a deceived world. Are you all in?<\/p>\n
